This was the first year that the Batsford Prize ran an illustration section of their competition. The theme of this year's competition was Recycle, Reuse, and Reclaim. I choose to do a narrative about an animal reusing our cloths we leave behind.

 

I started with line work, which I then cleaned up on Photoshop. I found that there was too much white space in the background and needed some texture to bring out my line drawings. I choose to try lino print, which I haven't touch since school
